Collage Recognized for World-Class Construction Safety Standards

The Collage Companies has, for the third consecutive year, achieved the highest honor, a DIAMOND LEVEL, as part of Associated Builders and Contractor’s (ABC) 2023 STEP Safety Performance Report. This level STEP designation means that Collage is 688% safer than the construction industry safety average.

“Planning for safety starts with the bid process and continues throughout the construction experience. At Collage, we are diligent with our proactive safety and security program that includes third-party oversight and making sure that safety awareness remains core to our culture.” says Rob Maphis, President, The Collage Companies.

According to ABC’s annual Safety Performance Report, STEP participants, regardless of company size or type of work, can reduce recordable incidents up to 85%, making the best-performing companies 688% safer than the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics industry average. Ratings range from Diamond, the highest, to Platinum, Gold, Silver, Bronze, and Participant. To learn more about the STEP program, visit www.abc.org/step.

“Safety is a journey, and that journey is possible because of systems like STEP, which enables ABC member contractors like The Collage Companies to actively build health and safety into their culture, creating industry-leading, holistic safety programs to protect their workers and deliver for their clients,” said Greg Sizemore, ABC vice president of health, safety, environment, and workforce development.
