Collage Awarded Highest Honor – ABC’s 2021 Safety Performance Report
Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) is a national construction industry trade association representing more than 21,000 members. ABC represents all specialties within the U.S. construction industry and helps members to develop people, win work, and deliver work safely, ethically and profitably for the betterment of the communities in which they work. COLLAGE is an active member of the Central Florida Chapter of ABC, which leads the local Safety Training Evaluation Process (STEP) as part of ABC’s 2021 Safety Performance Report.
Founded in 1989 as a safety benchmarking and improvement tool, STEP has evolved into a world-class safety management system that dramatically improves safety performance among participants regardless of company size or type of work. Participating ABC member firms measure their safety processes and policies on 24 key components through a detailed questionnaire with the goal of implementing or enhancing safety programs that reduce jobsite incidents.
COLLAGE, through the focused and consistent efforts of our team of construction professionals, has achieved STEP DIAMOND LEVEL as part of ABC’s 2021 Safety Performance Report. The purpose of the COLLAGE safety program is to promote a positive attitude towards safety through employee training and management action, requiring applied effort on the part of every employee and person involved in the project. Keeping our team safe is our highest priority.
Planning for safety starts with the bid process and continues throughout the construction phase. Together, COLLAGE works with our subcontractors to assure a safe work place for employees and the public alike. It is the intent of COLLAGE to follow the policy of safe production in all operations.
