Friends of Lake Apopka (FOLA) is a citizen advocacy group focused on restoring Lake Apopka to its once pristine condition. Friends of Lake Apopka offers many ways in which we can all “be a part of one of the greatest environmental success stories of our time.” In Partnership with the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, FOLA is having an event at Lake Apopka from January through May which they are billing as “Lake Apopka’s biggest and most exciting event yet”. It is called: Hooked on Lake Apopka Fish Tag Challenge. It is a chance for everyone to get out on the lake (for fun) or for a chance to win your part of the $10K in prizes.
